The Belleville Volleyball Club (BVC) was founded in 2006 to teach kids the great game of volleyball. Using the Ontario Volleyball Association’s (OVA) Spikes program as its core training guide, our coaches have instructed hundreds of kids aged 8 and up in a fun and non-competitive format. Our “BVC Kids” program is now run in clinic format throughout the fall and spring.
The first team in the Club was a mixture of boys from St. George-German and Paris District elementary schools. These teams were the finalists in the County playoffs and boys from both teams were eager to keep playing. We called the OVA to enquire about registering them for an OVA age group tournament only to be told that to play in OVA tournaments you had to enter as a Club. The paperwork was filled out and the Brant Youth Volleyball Club was born!
The Chatham BVC in its present incorporation is a non-profit premier youth volleyball club in Chatham-Kent, Ontario since 1998.
Clarington Grizzlies Volleyball Club became a member of the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) in 2008. It started with one female team that competed in the 15U division. Since that time the club has included a second team. Prior to joining the OVA, the Club ran a skills program which was very popular.
